It’s a great piece of music that would love to have an audience, so if you’re not playing bring that picnic and enjoy the piece – plus it’s Father’s Day and the Solstice, all lining up brilliantly.

 

About the piece-

1pm set up for a 1.30pm play

The bandstand allows 20 players on stage, but we can have more people playing in front, if need be. Message me on my instagram @davidinsuacao so I can have an idea of numbers and instruments.
Instruments can be pretty open, but if you can let me know what you’re planning to play that would be helpful.
If you have an amplified instrument (going through the mains) it will need to be PAT tested. Please send me a photo of your PAT test sticker so that I can send it to the council. If you don’t have a PAT tested amp/power lead let me know as I have some PAT tested spares.

There are some challenging bars in there so I recommend getting used to the score. Have a play along to the many recordings of groups playing the score. Recommendations include-
