Your Visit
We look forward to welcoming you to the Todmorden Bandstand! Â
We host a wide variety of events through the year, so take a look at our ‘What’s On’ page to see what is on offer.Â
Read through our FAQ’s, to answer any questions you might have about your visit:Â
How to get there? Â
The Bandstand can be found in Centre Vale Park on the A646 Burnley Road, north-east of Todmorden town centre, next to the cricket ground.Â
There is a small carpark located off Ewood Lane, next to the Sports Centre, however parking is limited and we would encourage you to walk to Centre Vale Park, or use public transport. Â
The Bandstand is an 11 minute walk from Todmorden Bus Station along the flat, where there are regular bus services from Burnley, Halifax and Rochdale.Â
It is a 13 minute walk from Todmorden Train Station, which is served by the Calder Valley rail network (Todmorden is one of the main stops between Manchester and Leeds). Â
Is the Bandstand Accessible?Â
There are several level or sloped access points to Centre Vale Park and level pathways throughout. These paths provide step free access to the area around the Bandstand, including the paved area in front of the stage.
The Bandstand itself is not a step-free venue, please let us know in advance if you have additional access requirements.Â
There is a portable, accessible lift for performers that need access to the stage – please let us know in advance if you need this.Â
Are there toilets at the venue?Â
There are toilets located in the park, near to the south gate entrance. Disabled public toilets are also available – you will need a RADAR key to access them.Â
Will there be food and drink available to buy?Â
Certain events may have food stalls, but please check event information in advance.Â
Am I allowed to bring a picnic?Â
Depending on the event, you may wish to bring your own picnic! Sometimes there will be food stalls, but please check the information for each event to see what will be available.Â
Will there be First Aid?Â
Each event will have a dedicated First Aider, please alert a member of the organising team if you are in need of first aid.Â
Will I need wellies?Â
Please dress for the weather! The Bandstand is an outdoor venue, and is therefore at the mercy of the elements. This shouldn’t impact enjoyment of the events, but pack waterproofs and sunscreen where appropriate!Â
Do I need a ticket?Â
Each event will vary, so please read the details before coming along – tickets will be required for some events. Â
The Bandstand itself is available to visit outside of organised events, although you cannot access the stage without prior arrangement. Get in touch with us if you are interested in a ‘behind-the-scenes’ tour of the building.Â
But please do come along and take a look at the fantastic renovation that has been done to this historic building. More information about the renovation can be found on our ‘Renovation’ page.Â
If you have a question about your visit that hasn’t been answered on this page, then please get in touch via our ‘contact’ page above.
